Previously On Martinez Yoga…
Last week as I was doing my after school pick up for yoga at PS3 Charrette Elementary in NYC I got a little surprise from a lil’ yogi. He told me that his favorite after school activity is yoga and looks forward to it all week. That just put a big smile on my face. It’s an awesome feeling to be the one that introduced this wonderful practice to this lil’ niño. He’s in first grade and is a great helper. Our activities in class really bring out his ahimsa side. That is to say his compassionate side. He doesn’t force it. It just happens. I have the pleasure to see it. That’s yoga. I hope he keeps it going. You’re off to a good start, mi amigo!
I’m off to San Francisco this week to visit family and friends, but when I return to the Big Apple, me and my lil’ ones will pick up from where we left off. I planted the seed. Just needs a little bit of time and space to grow.
